Churcham is a small village and civil parish in the Forest of Dean District of Gloucestershire, located 4 miles (6.4 km) west of Gloucester. It has a population of approximately 650 across its scattered settlement made up of small hamlets and groups of houses including Birdwood, Bulley and Oakle Street.
Churcham has a flourishing community school – Churcham Primary School – providing education for children from ages 3 – 11. There are a number of farms and businesses situated in the parish.
Churcham is an ideal countryside location for visiting the Vale of Leadon, The Forest of Dean and the city of Gloucester. One of the main attractions of the village is the church of St Andrew which is the location of Hook’s grave.
